87 - కార్పాస (దూది) పర్వత దానము
ఈశ్వరః : కార్పాసపర్వత స్తద్వ ద్వంశ ద్భారై రిహో త్తమః ।
దశభి ర్మధ్యమః ప్రోక్తః కనిష్ట: పఞ్చభి స్స్మృతః॥
భారేణాల్పధనో దద్యా ద్విత్తశాఠ్య వివర్జితః ।
ధాన్యపర్వతవ త్సర్వ మాసాద్య మునిపుజ్గవ॥
ప్రభాతాయాంతు శర్వర్యాం దద్యాదిద ముదీరయేత్ ।
త్వమేవావరణం యస్మా ల్లోకానా మిహ సర్వదా॥
కార్పాసాద్రే నమస్తుభ్యం మమాఘం త్వ మతో నుచ ।
ఇతి కార్పాస శై లేన్ద్రం యో దద్యా చ్ఛర్వ సంనిధౌ॥
రుద్రలో కే వసేత్కల్పం తతో రాజా భవే దిహ॥
ఇతి శ్రీమత్స్యమహాపురాణే కార్పాసాదిదానమాహాత్మ్య కథనం నామ సప్తాశీతిత మోఽధ్యాయః॥
ఈశ్వరుడు నారదునితో ఇట్లు చెప్పెను : ఇదే విధముగ కార్పానపర్వత దానమును గలదు. దానికై పది కాని ఐదు కాని శ క్తిలేకున్న చో ఒకటి కాని బారువల దూదితో శ క్తియుండియు వంచన చేయక పర్వతముల నిర్మించవలెను. అన్ని యంశము లందును ధాన్యపర్వతమువిషయమునవలెనే చేయవలయును. దాన దినపు ఉదయమున దానకాలమున) ఈ మంత్రము చెప్పవలయును: కార్చస పర్వతమా! లోకములకు ఎల్లప్పుడును ఆచ్చాదనము చేయు కప్పెడి సాధనము నీవేకదా! (వస్త్ర రూపమున దూది ప్రాణుల శరీరమును కప్పుచున్న ది.) నీకు నమస్కారము; ఇట్టి నీవు నా పాపములను పోగొట్టుము. ఇట్లు చెప్పుచు శివ సన్నిధియందు కార్పాస పర్వత దానము చేయువాడు కల్పమంత కాలము రుద్రలోకమున వసించి మరల కల్పాది సృష్టియందు రా జైపుట్టును. .

Bhagavān Matsya presents the systematic ritual of Tilāchala-Dāna, the gift of a symbolic mountain constructed from vast quantities of black or white sesame seeds. The practitioner prepares a platform covered with sacred cloth, placing a large heap of sesame seeds adorned with golden icons of Bhagavān Vishṇu, silver trees, copper vessels, and silk draperies. The devotee worships the Tilāchala as the embodiment of Pitṛ-tṛpti and divine protection, offering flowers, incense, and oblations into the sacred fire. Gifting this sesame mountain to a pious Brāhmaṇa grants total relief from ancestral debts, neutralizes malicious planetary influences, bestows long life and good health, and ensures that the donor's ancestors enjoy perpetual nectar in the celestial realms.
