322 - అథ పాశుపతశాంతిః
పరమేశ్వరుడు చెప్పెను. ఇపుడు పాశుపతాస్త్ర మంత్రముతో చేయవలసిన శాంతి పూజాదులను చెప్పెదను. ఇవి వెనుక చెప్పినట్లే చేయ వలెను. ఈ మంత్రమును ఆశిక పాఠముగానీ జపము గాని చేసినచో పూర్వకృత పుణ్యము నశిం చును. పడంత సంపూర్ణ మంత్రము ఆ పద్యాదులను నివారించును. “ఓం నమోభగవతే మొదలు సర్వదురితం నాశయ నాశయ ఫట్” వరకును మూలోక్తమైనది పాశుపత మంత్రము దీనిని ఒక్క పర్యాయము ఆ వృత్తి చేసిననే సమస్త విఘ్నములు నశించును. నూరు ఆవృత్తులచే సకల ఉత్పాతములు నశించును. యుద్దాదులందు జయము గలుగును. ఆజ్యముతో బొగ్గులు కలిపి ఈ మంత్రముతో హోమము చేసినచో అసాధ్యకార్యములు కూడ సాధించవచ్చును. ఈ పాశుపతాస్త్ర పాఠ మాత్రముచే సకలక్లేశ ములు నశించును.
ఆగ్ని మహా పురాణమున పాశుపతాస్త్ర శాంతి వర్ణనమను మూడువందల ఇరువది రెండవ అధ్యాయము సమాప్తము.

The physiological basis of some dreams in doṣa-imbalance is acknowledged, and the prescriptions for neutralizing inauspicious dreams through bathing at dawn and reciting Viṣṇu's names are given.
