లింగ మహాపురాణగతమగు అనుక్రమణిక. ఇందు నిరూపింపబడినది. ముందు మాటలో ఈ యనుక్రమణిక - ముఖ్యాంశములతో వ్రాయ బడినందున పునరుక్తి వలదని ఇటనిర్దేశింపబడలేదు. అంతమాత్రమున ఇది యొక లోపమని భావింపరాదు.
లింగ పురాణములో గల విషయములను స్మరించువారి పాపములన్నియు పటాపంచలగునని ఈ అధ్యాయము చివరలో చెప్పఁబడినది - గాన నిదియు పురాణ పారాయణాంతర్గతమని తెలియవలెను.
ఇయ్యది - “శివ విజ్ఞాన వీచిక” అను శాంకరీయ ఆంధ్రానువాద ప్రవచనమున (2) ద్వితీయాధ్యాయము.
