95. సప్తమీ కల్పమున ఆదిత్యాలయ మహాత్య్మ వర్ణనము

తా॥ బ్రహ్మదేవుడిట్లనెను “ముమ్మాకు ప్రదక్షిణ మాచరించి నేలపై తలయాన్చి సూర్య నమస్కారము చేయువాడు పరమ గతి నందును. పాదరక్షలతో సూర్య దేవాలయమున ప్రవేశించువాడు భయంకరమగు తెమిస్రమను నరకమునఁబడును. దేవాయతనమున కఫ మలమూత్ర విసర్జన చేయువాడు క్రమమున నేక వింశతి నరకములనుభవించును, నేయి, తేనె, పాలు, నీరు, ఉత్తమమైన చెఱుకు రసము సూర్యాభిషేకార్థమై ఇచ్చువారు ఇహలోకమున సర్వకామములను పొంది సూర్య మండలమునకు బోవుదురు. అభిషిక్తుడైన సూర్య భగవానుని భక్తితో దర్శించుకొనువారు, అశ్వమేథ యాగ ఫలమును పొంది శివునిలో లీనమగుదురు. సూర్య భగవానునకు స్నానము చేయించు భక్తులు రాజసూయ, అశ్వమేధ యాగములు చేసిన పుణ్య ఫలమును పొందుదురు. సూర్య దేవున కభిషేకము చేసిన జలము నెవరును దాటకుండునట్లేర్పాటు చేయవలెను. అభిషిక్త జలమును దాటుట కష్టములు కలిగించును. దాటువాడు భయంకరమగు తామిస్రమను నరకమును పొందును. కావున ప్రయత్న పూర్వకముగ స్నపన కార్యము మొదటనే చేయవలెను. సూర్యదేవుని నేతితో స్నానము చేయించినవాడు బ్రహ్మలోకమునకుఁబోవును. తేనెతో చేయించినవాడు తనకు ప్రియమైన స్థానమును చేరును. జలముతో నభి షేకించువాడు బ్రహ్మలోకమునకుఁబోవును. సూర్య దేవునిట్లభి షేకించిన నీప్సితార్థ సిద్ధియగును.
