Summary of chapter 45 of the Bhavishya Purāṇa is as follows:
The Ṣaṣṭhī Kalpa's narrative section returns to Kārttikeya himself, describing his divine appearance: his six faces, his twelve arms, the specific weapons and emblems he carries, his peacock mount, and the brilliance of his golden form. The account of his birth is retold: the seed of Śiva, too powerful for any womb to contain, was placed in the river Gaṅgā, then in a thicket of śara reeds, and finally received by the six Kṛttikā nymphs, who each nursed one of his six faces. The chapter emphasises that Kārttikeya's very birth was an act of cosmic necessity — the universe required a commander of irresistible power to vanquish the asura Tārakāsura — and that his form therefore embodies concentrated divine śakti in its most martial and purposeful expression.
