53 - The rite of conquering Death
The sages said:
1-5. O Suta, it behoves you to recount now the rite of conquering death relating to the Brahmins, Kshatriyas and Vaishyas. O sage of great intellect, you are omniscient.
Suta said: —
O excellent brahmins, I shall mention the rite of conquering death. Of what avail is much talk? Repeating the Rudradhyaya mantras the devotee performs a hundred thousand Homas with ghee, in due order. For Homas the following materials can be used: Gingelly seeds with ghee, lotus, Durvi grass mixed with ghee and cow’s milk, honey, Charu along with ghee or mere milk. Thus the remedy against Death or the god of Death has been recounted.

The grand concluding chapter of the Liṅga Purāṇa offers solemn salutations and supreme benedictions to Parameśvara Śiva, Mother Pārvatī, Bhagavān Vishṇu, Bhagavān Brahmā, Nandi, and all cosmic sages. The Purāṇa concludes with universal prayers for peace, rain, righteousness, and eternal liberation for all living beings across the cosmos at the lotus feet of Svayambhū Śiva.
