Miśrāṇī

Miśrāṇī

Miśrāṇī is one of the daughters of Śāradā Devī. Bhagavān Jagannātha tells Kṛshṇacaitanya, in the Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa that when the ten sons of Kaṇva and Āryāvatī were twelve years old, Śāradā Devī, who loves her bhaktas, gave them her daughters: Upādhyāyī, Dīkshitā, Pāṭhakī, Śuklikā, Miśrāṇī, Agnihotriṇī, Dvivedinī, Trivedinī, Pāṇḍyāyanī and Caturvedinī. Miśrāṇī became the wife of Miśra. Each of the daughters had sixteen sons from her husband, and all of them became gotrakāras.
