Nara (Sādhya)

Nara · nara, “man”

Nara is one of the twelve devas called Sādhyas. Sumantu names them for Śatānīka as Manu, Anumanta, Prāṇa, Nara, Nārāyaṇa, Vṛttilamba, Manu, Sama, Dharma, Vīryavān, Vitteśa and Prabhu Sādhya. They are yajñabhuks, those who partake of yajña, and devas worshipped in all lokas.
