Carakī

Carakī

Carakī is one of the four placed outside the Vāstu-maṇḍala, together with its forty-five devatās. The Madhyama Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa sets her in the īśāna corner (north-east), Vidārī in the agni corner (south-east), Pūtanā in the nairṛta corner (south-west) and Pāpa-rākshasī in the vāyavya corner (north-west).
