Pārvatīloka
Pārvatīloka · pārvatī-loka, “the world of Pārvatī”
Pārvatīloka is the loka of Devī Pārvatī. In the Uttara Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa, Śrī Kṛshṇa tells Yudhishṭhira that one who gives the Lavaṇācala, the mountain of salt, by the rule dwells for one kalpa in Pārvatīloka and at the end reaches paramagati, moksha.
The Lavaṇācala dāna
The Lavaṇācala is made of salt: sixteen droṇas is the best measure, eight the middle and four the least, and one without means may make it of one droṇa or half a droṇa. Four helper mountains are made from a fourth of its measure, and the worship of Brahmā and the devatās, the golden trees, the lokapālas, Kāmadeva and the lakes are made as for the other mountains, with jāgaraṇa at night. At the gift the giver prays to the mountain of salt, which is ever dear to Śiva and Pārvatī, to lift him out of the ocean of saṃsāra.
Śrī Kṛshṇa opens by saying that by this gift a person reaches Śivaloka. He closes with its phala: one who gives the salt mountain by this rule dwells for one kalpa in Pārvatīloka, and at the end reaches paramagati, moksha.
