Kaulakalpas
Kaulakalpa
The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that when the third caraṇa of Kali comes, the Kinnaras will slowly perish from the earth. When twenty-six thousand years of that caraṇa have passed, by the command of Rudra, Dhṛta Ṛshi will produce from Saurabhī, the nāga’s wife, very strong humans named Kaulakalpa, who will eat all the Kinnaras. Their span in Kali at that time will be twenty-six years.
The frightened Kinnaras will take refuge in the Vāmana aṃśa, and a terrible war will follow between Bhogasiṃha and Kelisiṃha and the Kaulakalpas. After fighting for ten years, Bhogasiṃha and all with him will be defeated, and the Vāmana aṃśa will go to Pātāla with the daityas.
