Saurabhī

Saurabhī · saurabhī, “the fragrant one”

Saurabhī is the wife of a nāga. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that when the third caraṇa of Kali comes, the Kinnaras will slowly perish from the earth. When twenty-six thousand years of that caraṇa have passed, by the command of Rudra, Dhṛta Ṛshi will produce from Saurabhī very strong humans named Kaulakalpa, who will eat all the Kinnaras.
