Bhillas

Bhilla

The Bhillas are a people named in the Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa. In its account of the Kali Yuga, the Purāṇa tells that robbers, Śabaras, Bhillas and foolish people have filled the Ārya land, Bhāratavarsha.

In the Śukla line, Bhujavarmā, son of Śrīpati, conquered the Śabaras and Bhīlas and settled a land that became famous on earth as Bhujadeśa.
