Śabaras

Śabara

The Śabaras are a people named twice in the Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa.

Sūta tells Śaunaka that in the Kali age even the seven sacred purīs have seen hiṃsā begin, and that robbers, Śabaras, Bhillas and foolish people have filled the Ārya land, Bhāratavarsha.
