Śiva’s Gaṇeśa Stuti
Śiva Gaṇeśa Stuti · śiva gaṇeśa stuti, “the praise of Gaṇeśa sung by Śiva”
Śiva’s Gaṇeśa Stuti is the stuti with which Bhagavān Śiva praised Bhagavān Gaṇeśa. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa, Khaṇḍa 4, Chapter 12, tells that Bhagavān Śiva, the beloved of Pārvatī, did pūjā of Gaṇeśa for a thousand years. Gaṇeśa, pleased, told him and Pārvatī to ask a vara, and Bhagavān Śiva praised him with bhakti and asked him to be born as his dear son.
The stuti calls him the form of Vishṇu, the Paramātmā, four-armed and red in colour, the remover of vighnas (obstacles), who holds and nourishes the world, and the master of the siddhis and the nidhis (treasures). Upon this Gaṇeśa was born from the tejomaya (radiant) body of Pārvatī.
The setting
Bṛhaspati tells Devendra of the appearance of the devas in the world. Once Bhagavān Śiva, Pārvatīvallabha, with effort did pūjā of Gaṇeśa for a thousand years. Then Bhagavān Gaṇeśa, being pleased, told Hara together with Pārvatī to ask a vara. Bhagavān Śaṅkara praised him with bhakti.

What followed
Upon this Gaṇeśa was born from the tejomaya body of Pārvatī, and all the devas with Indra came to the peak of Kailāsa for his auspicious darśana. So the account goes on to the head of Gajānana, and Bṛhaspati closes: thus Gajānana Gaṇeśa, Īśvara in person, arose.
