Uttara Carita · uttara carita, “the later account”

Grammar: neuter noun; uttara (later) with carita (account).

Meaning: the later part of the Durgā Saptaśatī.

In the scriptures: Sūta tells the munis, in the Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa, of its glory through the life of Patañjali Maharshi.
