Vanarasa

Vanarasa · vana-rasa

Vanarasa is a kingdom. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells, in Sūta’s words to the ṛshis, that Bhagavān Śiva foretold to Śrī Kṛshṇa that the Pāṇḍavas and Kauravas would be born in the Kali Yuga by their aṃśas. Among those births, Bhīma will be born with the name Vīraṇa, king of Vanarasa.
