Nāgapura
Nāgapura · nāga-pura, “the city of the nāgas”
Nāgapura is the city where Bhānumatī kept the Rambhā Vrata, in the Uttara Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa. The Uttara Parva names the women who kept that vrata, each in her own place: Gāyatrī in svarga, Gaurī on Kailāsa, Indrāṇī in Nandanavana, Lakshmī in Śvetadvīpa, Rājñī in the Ravimaṇḍala, Arundhatī in Dāruvana, Svāhā on Meru, Sītā Devī in Ayodhyā, Vedavatī on Himācala, and Bhānumatī in Nāgapura. The Purāṇa says that a woman who keeps this vrata gains saubhāgya, sons and grandsons, wealth, long life and fame, and lives happily with her husband for a hundred years.
