Tālajaṅghas
Tālajaṅgha · tāla-jaṅgha, “the palm-legged”
The Tālajaṅghas are a people of kshatriya birth. The Bhavishya Purāṇa names them in two places.
In the Pratipat vrata
Sumantu Muni tells King Śatānīka, in the Brahma Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa, of the upavāsa vrata on the pratipat, the first tithi, dear to Brahmā. By it Viśvāmitra gained brāhmaṇatva from Brahmā in that very body. Sumantu Muni says that a kshatriya, a vaiśya or a śūdra who keeps the vrata on this tithi attains brāhmaṇatva, and that among the Haihayas, Tālajaṅghas, Turushkas, Yavanas and Śakas, those who kept this upavāsa vrata gained the brāhmaṇatva they desired.

At Kurukshetra
Bṛhaspati tells Indra, in the Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa, that in the twelfth Dvāpara of the Cākshusha manvantara kshatriyas born in the Tālajaṅgha line destroyed the brāhmaṇas born in the Bhṛgu line at Kurukshetra. They took the brāhmaṇas’ abundant wealth and became partisans of the daityas.
