Nava (son of Uśīnara)
Nava
Nava is a son of King Uśīnara by his wife Navā. The kingdom called Navā was his.
The Sūta tells the munis the line of Kaksheyu in the vaṃśa of Pūru. Mahāmanas had two sons, Uśīnara, knower of dharma, and Titikshu. Uśīnara had five wives, all from families of rājarshis: Nṛgā, Kṛmī, Navā, Darvā and Dṛshadvatī. In his old age, by the power of tapas, he had by them five sons who upheld the line: Nṛga by Nṛgā, Kṛmi by Kṛmī, Nava by Navā, Suvrata by Darvā, and Śibi by Dṛshadvatī. From Nṛga came the Yaudheyas; Nava’s was the kingdom called Navā; Kṛmi’s was the city Kṛmilāpurī; and from Suvrata came the Ambashṭhas.
