Nahusha of Ayodhyā

Nahusha

Nahusha was a famous king of Ayodhyā in ancient times. His chief queen was Candramukhī, who had great affection for Mānamānikā, the wife of the king’s purohita. Lomaśa Maharshi tells of him to Devakī at Mathurā, in the account of Candramukhī and Mānamānikā, which Śrī Kṛshṇa retells to Yudhishṭhira. Candramukhī forgot the vrata she had learned, and after death she was born a vānarī.
