Dhanurdīpta

Dhanurdīpta · dhanus-dīpta, “the one radiant with the bow”

Dhanurdīpta is a king of the line of Ayodhyā in the Dvāpara Yuga. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that Pratāpendra, who ruled Bhārata for 10,000 years, had a son Maṇḍalīka, whose son was Vijayendra, whose son was Dhanurdīpta. By Indra‘s command Mahārāja Śakrahotra came back to the earth with Ghṛtācī, defeated King Dhanurdīpta and ruled the earth.
