Abhitaṃsa

Abhitaṃsa · abhi-taṃsa

Abhitaṃsa is a king of the Candra line in the Dvāpara Yuga. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa, where Sūta answers Śaunaka, gives him in the line of Saṃvaraṇa‘s descendants. He is the son of Adhitaṃsa and the father of Samuttaṃsa. After Samuttaṃsa come Taṃsa and Dushyanta.
