Śraddhā, Wife of Dharma

Śraddhā, “faith”

Śraddhā is one of the mothers named as wives of Dharma in the Uttara Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa. Bhagavān Śrī Kṛshṇa gives Yudhishṭhira the words of the abhisheka of the yajamāna, spoken by four brāhmaṇas when the havana is finished: “Kīrti, Lakshmī, Dhṛti, Medhā, Pushṭi, Śraddhā, Kriyā, Mati, Buddhi, Lajjā, Śānti, Pushṭi, Kānti and Tushṭi: may all these mothers, who are the wives of Dharma, come and consecrate you.”
