Balabanyu
Balabanyu
Balabanyu is one of the chief daityas named in the battle of Raktāsura, son of Mahishāsura, against Bhagavatī Durgā. Śrī Kṛshṇa tells the king this account with the Dhvaja Navamī vrata. Proud through Brahmā‘s vara, the daityas came to Karachatrāpurī and rained weapons on Bhagavatī, who stood in the form of a Kumārī with the nine Durgās. She destroyed countless daityas and split Raktāsura’s heart with her triśūla, and those who were left fled.
