Jātakābharaṇa

Jātakābharaṇa · jātaka-ābharaṇa, “the ornament of birth charts”

The Jātakābharaṇa is a work of phalita jyotisha. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa, in Sūta’s account, tells that Bhagavān Gaṇeśa produced Skandha from his own mouth, and Skandha was born at Kāśī as the son of a daivajña dvija. On the earth he became famous as Duṇḍhirāja. He composed the Jātakābharaṇa, came to Śaṅkarācārya for the protection of the Veda and became his śishya with a glad heart.
