Kulinda-deśa

Kulinda-deśa · kulinda-deśa, “the land of the Kulindas”

Kulinda-deśa is a land of the north-east. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa names it where Sūta tells how Māgadha divided the Ārya land into regions: to the west Sindhu-deśa, to the north-west Kaikaya-deśa, to the north Madra-deśa and to the north-east Kulinda-deśa.
