Śivadṛshṭi
Śivadṛshṭi · śiva-dṛshṭi, “he whose gaze is on Śiva”
Śivadṛshṭi was a brāhmaṇa who became Vikramāditya. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa, opening the account of Mahārāja Vikramāditya, tells that Śivadṛshṭi went to the forest with his disciples for tapas, and by the ārādhanā of Śiva he became of the form of Śiva.
When three thousand years were complete and the Kali Yuga came, for the destruction of the Śakas and the growth of Ārya dharma, that same Śivadṛshṭi, by the command of Bhagavān Śaṅkara, came from Kailāsa, the dwelling of the Guhyakas, to the earth and became famous under the name Vikramāditya.
