Anugandhā

Anugandhā

Anugandhā is one of the gopīs who did pūjā of Śrī Kṛshṇa. Śrī Kṛshṇa tells King Yudhishṭhira that when he was eight years old he sat on a siṃhāsana under a vaṭa tree in Bhāṇḍaura-vana, on the bank of the Yamunā, and great mallas and gopīs did his pūjā with curd, milk, fruit and flowers. The gopīs he names are Gopālī, Dhanyā, Viśākhā, Dhyānanishṭhikā, Anugandhā, Sudhagā and others. This is the origin of the Malla Dvādaśī.
