Śakuni, Son of Daśaratha
Śakuni
Śakuni is a king of the Sātvata line at Mathurā in the Dvāpara Yuga, in the line of Vṛshṇi. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa names him in the line that Sūta gives Śaunaka: he is the son of Daśaratha and the father of Kuśumbha, and he ruled as long as his father.

Per Brahma Purāṇa
The Brahma Purāṇa gives Śakuni in the Yadu line that comes down from Kroshṭu through Vidarbha. Vidarbha’s son was Bhīma; his son Kunti; his son Dhṛshṭa, bold in battle. Of Dhṛshṭa’s sons, Daśārha’s son was Vyoma; then came Jīmūta, Vikṛti, Bhīmaratha and Navaratha. Navaratha’s son was Daśaratha, and Daśaratha’s son was Śakuni. Śakuni’s son was Karambha; then came Devarāta, Devakshatra, Vṛddhakshatra and Madhu, the founder of the line of the Madhus, whose son Sattvant gave the Sātvatas their name.
