Vṛshṇi

Vṛshṇi

Vṛshṇi is a very mighty king of the Sātvata line at Mathurā in the Dvāpara Yuga. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that by the vara of Bhagavān Vishṇu he held the whole kingdom under him for 5,000 years.

His line follows him, each son of the one before: Nirāvṛtti, Daśārī, Viyāmuna, Jīmūta, Vikṛti, Bhīmaratha, Navaratha, Daśaratha, Śakuni, Kuśumbha, Devaratha, Devakshetra, Madhu, Navātha and Kuruvatsa.
