Ruka
Ruka
The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa names Ruka, also printed Haru, in the Ikshvāku line of the Satya Yuga. He is the son of Vijaya and ruled as long as his father. The kings up to Ruka were all Vishṇu bhaktas with vast armies; gems, gold and wealth were within everyone’s reach, and the full dharma of the Satya Yuga stood. In the middle of the third caraṇa of the Satya Yuga, Mahārāja Sagara was born as Ruka’s son. Sūta tells the line to Śaunaka.
