Puruhotra is a king of the Sātvata line at Mathurā in the Dvāpara Yuga. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa, where Sūta answers Śaunaka, gives him as the son of Anuratha, the son of Kuruvatsa. He ruled as long as his father. The name of his son is damaged in the print; after it the line goes on through Sātvatavān, Bhajamāna, Vidūratha, Surabhakta and Sumanā.
