Pratāpendra

Pratāpendra · pratāpa-indra, “the lord of glory”

Pratāpendra is a very mighty king at Ayodhyā in the Dvāpara Yuga. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa, where Sūta answers Śaunaka, tells that he ruled Bhārata for 10,000 years. His son was Maṇḍalīka, whose son was Vijayendra, whose son was Dhanurdīpta. Mahārāja Śakrahotra, coming back to the earth by Indra‘s command, defeated King Dhanurdīpta and ruled the earth.
