Devakshetra

Devakshetra · deva-kshetra, “the field of the devas”

Devakshetra is a king of the Sātvata line at Mathurā in the Dvāpara Yuga. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa, where Sūta answers Śaunaka, gives him in the line of King Vṛshṇi, who held the whole kingdom at Mathurā for 5,000 years by the vara of Bhagavān Vishṇu. He is the son of Devaratha and the father of Madhu. He ruled for as many years as his father.
