Caṇḍīśa
Caṇḍīśa · caṇḍī-īśa, “the Īśa of Caṇḍī”
Caṇḍīśa is one of those stationed by Bhagavān Śaṅkara to protect the place of the yajña. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that Bhagavān Śaṅkara set Caṇḍīśa, Gaṇeśa, Nandī and the Guhyakas there. Himself settled in dhyāna, he then told the Bhāgavatī Kathā to Mother Pārvatī for seven days.
