Mānakāra

Mānakāra

The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa names Mānakāra among the disciples of the brāhmaṇa Mukunda, in the words of the ākāśavāṇī to Humāyūm. Sūta gives this to Śaunaka. Through nārī-bhāva (the inner attitude of a woman), Mānakāra obtained a woman’s body and became the king’s daughter famed as Mīrā.
