Kavipriyā

Kavipriyā · kavi-priyā, “she who is dear to poets”

The Kavipriyā is a work named in the Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa. It tells that Devavān, one of the thirteen disciples, descended as Keśava, who became a follower of Vishṇusvāmī. By composing the Kavipriyā and other works, Keśava came to pretatva (the state of a preta). By composing the work called Rāma-jyotsnā he attained svarga. Sūta gives this to Śaunaka.
