In the Madhyama Parva, trees such as Bhadraka, Sabhīkoṇa, Caṇḍātaka, Baka and Khadira receive pratishṭhā, but their karṇavedha saṃskāra is not done (Bhavishya Purāṇa, Madhyama Parva, Bhāga 3, Chapters 14–17).
