Antyaja
Antyaja · antya-ja, “one born last”
Grammar: masculine noun; antya (last) and ja (born).
Meaning: one born last; the text names him beside the śūdra.
In the scriptures: the Brahma Parva teaches that with śraddhā (faith) one should take good vidyā (knowledge) even from a śūdra or an antyaja (Bhavishya Purāṇa, Brahma Parva, Chapter 4). In the Aparādhaśataśamana vrata, Vasishṭha Maharshi names antyaja-saṅga, association with antyajas, among the hundred offences he tells King Ikshvāku (Bhavishya Purāṇa, Uttara Parva, Chapter 146).
