Helī of Pampāpura

Bṛhaspati tells Devarāja Indra that long ago in Pampāpura there lived a brāhmaṇa named Helī. He knew the sixty-four kalās and was devoted to the upāsanā of Bhagavān Sūrya. His account is told as that of the Sūrya of the month of Māgha.

Hanumān at Pampāpura

After Rudra-formed Hanumān released Rāvaṇa, the mighty son of Keśarī lived on the bank at Pampāpura. Because he stood there motionless, he became famous by the name Sthāṇu.
