Kacchadeśa
Kacchadeśa · kaccha-deśa, “the land of the shore”
Kacchadeśa is a land. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that King Śrīpati, son of Sindhudvīpa, married Kāchapī of the Gautama line, who lived in Kacchadeśa. He conquered the Pulindas and the yavanas and settled a land there, and on the bank of the Sindhu that land became famous by Śrīpati’s name.
