Bhṛṅga

Bhṛṅga Ṛshi is named in the prophecy of the Kali Yuga. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that in the terrible Kali Yuga will come the terrible creation of Bhṛṅga Ṛshi: humans who will live like beasts, blind with desire, and beget many sons. In the third caraṇa of Kali those creations too will come to the terrible tiryak-yoni (animal birth) and perish.
