Satyanidhi
Satyanidhi · satya-nidhi, “a treasure of truth”
Satyanidhi was a brāhmaṇa. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that he showed a frightened cow to a cāṇḍāla, and that as a result Sadhana‘s hands were cut off in the king’s court. Sadhana, born by an aṃśa of Iḍāpati in the house of a cāṇḍāla who slaughtered goats, was Satyanidhi born again; he sold meat by a śālagrāma-śilā and became a disciple of Kabīra. Sūta tells this to Śaunaka.
