Kshemavṛddhi

Kshemavṛddhi was the senāpati (general) of the army of Śālva. He is named in the Saubhavadha Upākhyāna of the Vana Parva of the Mahābhārata. Śālva attacked Dvārakā with the Saubha vimāna (a flying city). Kshemavṛddhi was one of his chief commanders and fought Sāmba, the son of Bhagavān Kṛshṇa.

Commander of Śālva’s forces

Kshemavṛddhi was the military commander of the forces of Śālva. When Śālva attacked Dvārakā with the Saubha vimāna, Kshemavṛddhi led the ground and air forces that went with the attack.

The fight with Sāmba

During the siege, Kshemavṛddhi fought Sāmba in single combat. Sāmba was the son of Kṛshṇa and one of the foremost young warriors among the Yādavas.
