Dharadatta

Dharadatta · dhara-datta

The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that the first Vasu, Kubera, by his aṃśa (portion) was born on earth at Mathurā as the son of a vaiśya, Dharadatta, by the name Trilocana. Trilocana spent all his wealth at tīrthas and became a śishya of Rāmānanda. Sūta tells this to Śaunaka.
