Yaśovigraha

Yaśovigraha · yaśas-vigraha, “the embodiment of fame”

Yaśovigraha is a king of the Śukla line. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that after the seven daughters of King Veṇuka and Kanyāmatī, a son named Yaśovigraha was born of that queen. He was very mighty, a dharmātmā and master of Āryadeśa, and he ruled twenty years on this earth. His son was Mahīcandra, who ruled as his father did.
