Vedavān

Vedavān · veda-vān, “the one who has the Veda”

The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa names Vedavān as the son of Pradyota of Hastināpura, the son of Kshemaka. Pradyota performed the mleccha-yajña in Kurukshetra and became famous as Mlecchahantā. When Kali went to Nārāyaṇa, he named Pradyota as “father of King Vedavān”. King Vedavān had a son named Sunanda, who died without offspring. Sūta tells this to Śaunaka.
