Vedapravardhana

Vedapravardhana · veda-pravardhana, “the one who furthers the Vedas”

The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that Vedapravardhana was a king of the Candra line in the Dvāpara Yuga, in the line that runs on from Saṃvaraṇa, each son of the one before. He was the son of Haṃsanyāyī, son of Vairocana. The name of his son is lost in the print; after it comes Dhanapāla.
