Śrutāyus
Śrutāyus was a king and warrior on the Kaurava side. Arjuna names him among the commanders the Pāṇḍavas expected to face at Kurukṣetra. His name stands in the lists of allies who gathered around Duryodhana in the Udyoga Parva.
In Arjuna’s list
In Chapter 66 of the Udyoga Parva, Arjuna speaks to Sañjaya and names the Kaurava warriors one by one. This list shows that the Pāṇḍavas were firm in their resolve and knew every great opponent. Śrutāyus is named in it together with Bhīṣma, Droṇa, Karṇa, Jalasandha and Purumitra.
